My Top 10 Favorite Christmas Movies

In order of most to least favorite, here are my top 10 favorite Christmas movies.

1. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Have I ever mentioned how much I love this film? It’s such a great movie, wonderful songs, characters and plot. Some people will say it’s a Halloween movie, but I disagree. Then again, I watch this movie year-round.

2. Harry Potter and the…well all of them! (2001-2011)
I know, I know, they aren’t technically Christmas movies. But it wouldn’t be Christmas without a Harry Potter marathon. I have to have at least one every December.

3. Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
This movie is amazing. The original cartoon was great, but my favorite is the live-action version with Jim Carrey. I mean, who doesn’t love Jim Carrey?

4. The Year Without A Santa Claus (1974)
I’ll be honest, I had to Google this one (it was a popular search: Christmas movie with ice guy and fire guy). But I love this movie. Heat Miser is my favorite, and he’s Mishka’s favorite too. We watch this movie every year.

5. Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town (1970)
This classic movie is timeless. It’s on every year for a good reason.

6.  Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964)
And now it’s stuck in your head. Sorry.

7. Frosty the Snowman (1969)
This one too…

8. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
There are a lot of Charlie Brown Christmas specials, but this one is my favorite.

9. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer (2000)
This one is just funny. Bug and Mishka love this movie and it’s fun to watch together.

10. And finally, It’s A Wonderful Life (1946)
It wouldn’t be a proper Christmas movie list if I didn’t include this. I first watched it in school and fell in love. It’s timeless, it’s charming, and it will always be a Christmas favorite.
