BuzzFeed's 27 Day Squat Challenge Day 13

Yesterday was another rest day, my second of four. I'm technically halfway through! I did another 50 squats today. Including today I've done a total of 350 squats. Yikes, I've done 350 freaking squats so far in 13 days! You can read all of my challenge updates right here.

We had a meeting at work about merchandising. It was okay. I didn't mind it because I got to sit there for an hour and a half and do pretty much nothing lol. I noticed something the other day. My knee isn't clicking as much anymore. Sure, I had to sit for a few minutes halfway through my 50 squats. But my knee isn't hurting or clicking. The biggest problem in having lately is that any physical movement is making me out of breath.

I can't even get dressed in the morning or walk downstairs without getting out of breath. I don't know if this is new, or if I'm just now noticing it. Whatever it is I'm hoping to fix it. Of course, the most important thing I need to change is what I'm eating and how much I'm eating. We had Taco Bell for dinner last night. And I had lunchables for lunch. And I ate half a bag of Cadbury mini eggs durin my shift. And we're still getting McDonald's for breakfast. I need to sit down with Amanda and talk about what we can do to fix our eating habits. We need to. I'm not the only overweight person in the household, we all need to work together to get healthy.

  1. You are doing awesome! It looks like your body is getting used to the exercise, which is great. It's super easy to just eat out all the time, especially when you're busy. One way to help with breakfast is to prepare and freeze muffin sandwiches, kind of like the McDonalds ones! Just buy a package of English muffins, sausage patties, and scramble some eggs, assemble the sandwiches, wrap in plastic wrap, and freeze. It's a lot cheaper, and it can be healthier if you buy whole wheat muffins and turkey sausage!

    1. Thank you! And I've tried talking to Amanda about pre-making breakfast and stuff but I get out at 7pm and don't get home until 730pm and by that time I don't want to cook. I might start making a week's worth of breakfasts, which for us would mean 28 breakfast sandwiches, on Saturday or Sunday after work. My weekend shift is earlier, so I get home at list 330/4 so it might be easier to do it then. I just wish I had an earlier shift during the week. Also, we have to do turkey sausage or bacon because we can't eat pork, it makes us sick. I'm thinking of doing some grocery shopping today to get some odds and ends and going home and making some stuff for the week tonight. I really appreciate you helping, it means a lot :)

  2. Ugh, working late like that every night is definitely exhausting. I know what you mean! 28 sandwiches is a lot, but the time and money saved is worth it. :) I'm actually gonna make a ton of breakfast burritos on Monday! Just scrambled eggs and sausage with a little cheese.
