Wedding Bells Are Ringing

No, not my wedding bells. Though I do long for the day I'll walk down the aisle, I'm not even dating anyone. A wedding is not in my near future. Well, my wedding is not in my near future. No, I'm talking about my nephew.

He's about to be 23 and and he sent me this message the other day:
As you can see, he isn't sure what to do. The problem? I've only helped plan a wedding once and was told that everything I did wasn't going to be used, only to have them get married without telling me. I was supposed to be the Maid of Honor.... Anyway, I'm trying to make this work. The biggest problem is that he's talking about THIS September and they have put nearly no thought into planning this wedding.

I'm trying to get them to focus and give me details, but we haven't even pinned down a location. Or if they want the reception and the ceremony at the same place. Or how many people they're even inviting! There are so many details, small and large, that they haven't really even thought about. Add this to the stress of working seven days and having five of them be extremely long and I'm damn near beat.

My question to any of my married readers: what is the best way to do a thrifty but still amazing wedding in under six months? Please let me know in the comments below!
