BuzzFeed's 27 Day Squat Challenge Day 23

Do you know what it's doing right now? On April 3rd? It's snowing. I mean, yeah, I live in New England, but c'mon! Snow? Still! *sigh*

Today I'll do a total of 90 squats. I've already done 50 of them, so I'm feeling pretty good! So including today I've done a total of 910 squats. You can read all of my challenge updates right here.

I've learned a lot about my body during the last month. I've had a lot of ups and downs. I went to Torrid yesterday and bought a couple things. I might post about it later today. Mostly I'm just working. I work a lot, and it's been taking a toll. But if it means I can afford to get a car, and with that maybe a better paying job, then it will be worth it in the end.

I'm sorry for how boring these updates must be. My life isn't very interesting what with me working all day every day, and never doing things. Hopefully with the warmer weather I'll have more interesting stories to share.

My sister did send me an invite to this thing she's doing. She wants the four girls to do it together. Basically, you pay $25 a month for 6 months, and if at the end you've lost at least 10% of your body weight you split the pot with everyone else that met their goal. That's 40 pounds for me. It sounded like a lot at first, until Christy (my sister) broke it down for me. If I weighed 600 pounds, which I don't, it would be 60 pounds, which is ten pounds a month, two a week. Since I weigh about 400 (haven't checked in a while) I need to lose 40 pounds. That's about 6.7 pounds a month, and about 1.7 pounds a week. That's definitely doable! And maybe I'll crush the goal and lose more, who knows?

  1. You should totally do the weight loss challenge! Money's always a good motivator. =) You'll nail it!

    Girl, my glutes are killing me from this squat challenge. Yesterday was 80, and I do pretty well up until about 50, and then it starts to hurt. Holy crap. But our butts are going to be BEAUTIFUL after this! Do you think you'll continue doing 100 squats a day after the challenge ends? I might, just to see if I can do it. =)

    1. I haven't decided yet what I'm gonna do at the end! I plan to post about it though, so you'll know for sure :) I was super proud of myself last night though because I did 30 before my knees started to hurt!
