Summer Walmart Beauty Box Review

Walmart Beauty Box. That sounds so weird to me. Walmart doesn't seem like a "beauty box" kind of place. I mean, I go there to get everything from dinner to clothes and everything in between. But makeup? I mean, sometimes. But not too often. But still, it's $5 every four months. That's really hard to pass up. Without further ado, let's jump in and see what we got from Walmart!

The box itself is kind of pretty. And I like that it's one of those ones that tucks in. Sephora doesn't, and it's annoying having a flap stick out.

Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Unscented Lotion
This is actually pretty good. It doesn't have aloe, which is great for me. It smells pretty good, I guess. It's supposed to be unscented. It did make my hand smoother. I like Vaseline lotions, so this is a win. I got a 2 oz sample and retail is 32 oz. So pretty small, but it will still last a little while.
Original Price: $8.48 (actual value: 53¢)

Schwarzkopf Essence UltIme Diamond Color & Radiance Shampoo and Conditioner
These smell pretty good. I'm glad they gave us a shampoo and it's matching conditioner. Neither has aloe, so I look forward to trying these. *Update: I tried this and it smells so good! But I'm not sure if I really like it. Two days later and my hair feels like it hasn't been washed in a month?? Not so sure about this. I got 1.7 oz for both and both retail at 13.5 oz.
Original Price: $6.96 each (actual value: 88¢ each)

Burt's Bees Lipstick in Blush Basin
This is neat. I didn't know Burt's Bees had this stuff. I like the color, it's nice and nude, but with a hint of pink. It's moisturizing and fairly pigmented. And it's full size! It's $9 on their website, but Walmart has it for cheaper. I've worn this a few times and I love it.
Original Price: $8.47 (actual value: $8.47)

Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh Clean Mint
Okay, toothpaste again. I wish it was full size, like last time, but oh well. I will probably use it. I got a 0.9 oz and retail is 4.3 oz.
Original Price: $3.48 (actual value: 73¢)

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Medium
Ugh. Okay, not happy with this. I don't like tinted anything, and this is specifically supposed to be for tanning. This will be given away. I got a 0.75 oz tube and retail is 4 oz.
Original Price: $11.55 (actual value: $2.17)

Incoco Nail Art
These are actually pretty cute. I will for sure use these. I'm not a huge fan of gold, but these are okay. And it's full size!
Original Price: $4.97 (actual value: $4.97)

NIVEA® In-Shower Cocoa Butter Body Lotion
There was also a foil packet for Nivea lotion. I'm really not a fan of foil packets, but I'm kind of intrigued how an in-shower lotion works. So we'll see. I got a tiny 0.31 oz sample and retail is 13.5 oz.
Original Price: $5.74 (actual value: 13¢)

Total Retail: $56.61; Total Actual Value: $18.76

Not a bad value. I'm glad that the lipstick and nail polish are full size because those are what I'm most excited about. I will use the shampoo and conditioner, and now that my hair is almost gone I will get more out of them.

Have you ever gotten a Walmart beauty box? Do you use a different subscription makeup box? I also signed up recently for Birchbox so check out my most recent post about that here. And I post my Ipsy reviews, you can see my latest one here. Will you get a Walmart box? Let me know in the comments below!

    1. I didn't know about it either until I saw it on the My Subscription Addiction website. It's a pretty good box considering all you pay is shipping.
