August Health Goals

Hello hello, It's been a bit, but here we are. I'll be honest, I didn't post because I didn't have any meaningful content. I don't want to post some random bullshit. I may, or may not, continue posting Ipsy and Birchbox and Sephora, but only if you are actually interested. Let me know, yeah? That said, let's jump into today's post!

I always see people posting goals for the month and I've been inspired to do my own. I don't know about posting general, or blogging, goals yet. But I have a list of health goals.

  • Drink more water - right now, I drink water every day. But I don't drink enough water every day. My goal is to drink at least 30oz of water daily.
  • Eat more protein - gah! I have a confession, I haven't been meatless every day. So, I have been adding more protein that way. But, I'm still not eating enough I think. My goal is to eat at least 150 grams of protein. Per below, I need about 150 grams of protein based on my last weigh in at 425lbs.
  • Eat less junk - this is a lofty goal for me. My goal is to only incorporate a maximum of 4 food items that can be bought out of a vending machine each week. A maximum of 5 things cooked in oil (not overlapping with the previous part of this goal) meaning fries or mozzarella sticks. And a maximum of 7 non-home cooked meals per week. (This number is as high as it is because I need to work on eating breakfast at home. Plus, with 7 days a week, and three full meals a day, you're eating 21 full meals a week.)
  • Stretch every day - this is something I need to do more of. I stretch sometimes at work, but most often I don't stretch at all, all day long. I want to try to stretch in the morning, and at night.
  • Cut mindless snacking - this kind of goes with eating less junk, but not as much. Because even if it's nuts or seeds, I don't want to just randomly be eating without paying attention.
  • Move more - you're probably thinking "could you be more vague?" But there's a method to my madness. I don't have a specific exercise or anything in mind. I don't know what this will entail, but I do know that Pokemon Go has me moving a bit more than I used to. (Team Valor anyone?)

I wanted my goals to be realistic, and I didn't want too many. Once I feel like it's a habit, I will change my goals. Until something becomes habit, I will have the same goals every month. But, I will update you on my progress. I plan to track my progress so that I can do an update in September.

Do you have any health goals this month? Let's talk about them in the comments :)
